I love how the action starts in almost the first scene and also films always end on some note of shock in Chinese films.
It's funny watching Westerners who aren't used to this process endlessly about the ending, because things are not wrapped up neatly and with closure. -

Tue, May 1, 2007 - 8:35 AMI've often wondered about kung fu movies, speaking of porn, why there is almost ever sex in them and if there is romance at all, it is invariably doomed. The doomed romance I can kind of get as a genre/tradition thing. But they're generally rather chaste.
Is that because they're intended for a youngish audience, or cultural, or.....? -
